Smoothie of the Day: B-Vitamin and Omega Fruity Swirl

B vitamins are important for us to include in our diet not only because they promote optimal health, but because they give us a natural lift of energy. Omegas (good fats) are important for not only promoting healthy cells and healing in our bodies, but for giving us a boost of brain power. The pineapple in this smoothie is a good source of manganese, fiber, and vitamin C. The banana included provides your body with vitamin B6 and potassium. I always add some type of flax or chia seed oil to my smoothies to promote a healthy heart, skin, hair, and nails. Give this smoothie a try today!

B-Vitamin and Omega Fruity Swirl

  • 1 C fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1 fresh mango, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 C pineapple juice or coconut water
  • 1/2 C coconut milk
  • 1 banana
  • 2 Tbsp flax oil
Using a blender, process the pineapple chunks, mango pieces, pineapple juice, coconut milk, banana, and flax oil until smooth. You can add a few ice cubes to make this beverage cold if you wish.
