I LOVE green smoothies and this recipe is becoming one of my favorites. It’s loaded with immune-boosting zinc and other trace minerals to promote optimal healing in the body. The avocado is a good source of vitamin K, a vitamin that is important in proper blood and bone function. Cucumbers are a concentrated source of many nutrients including vitamin A and manganese. I add a handful of watercress to give this smoothie a boost of vitamins A and C and a sprig of mint for manganese. I also add about one heaping tablespoon of chlorella! What is chlorella?
